Review: Harry Potter is an 11 year old boy living with his aunt, uncle and nephew. Unfortunately, he hasn't got parents and his aunt and uncle aren't the nicest people on earth. He hasn't got a very happy family life until he receives a letter telling him he has been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

His whole life changes - he's a wizard! But he also finds out the truth about his parents. They didn't get killed in a car accident, they were murdered by the most evil wizard on earth: Voldemort. Harry wasn't killed by Voldemort because the spell he was going to use bounced back on him and made him powerless. Finally the whole world is safe again and all the wizards and witches can live in peace once more.

The school appears to be alot of fun, and finally a happy life. He does have some trouble with a teacher named Snape, who seems to hate Harry for some reason. He also finds a couple of friends: Ron and Hermione (classmates) and Hagrid (The Gamekeeper). Harry is not the very best student, but he is very good at Quidditch, a sport for wizards and witches. It isn't all fun - after all, it is still school. And someone's trying to steal something that is hidden at Hogwarts. It's probably someone who wants to get Voldemort back. Harry, Ron and Hermione aren't going to let that happen, but first they have to find out who is trying to steal what.

In this book, you will meet alot of nice people, and some that are not very nice at all. I could describe all the people in the book, but then I would pass the word limit. So, I'll just stick with Harry, Ron and Hermione. Harry is an orphan who just found out he is a wizard. He's brave, but doesn't think he's very much. He's not the brightest, but has enough brains to survive school. He's freindly to everyone, as long as they are friendly to him too.

Ron is also 11 years old. His parents and brothers and sister are all wizards and witches too. He knows alot about the magical world, but not much about the Muggle World (that's the world of the non-magical peeps: us). He's got alot to live up to as well, because he's the youngest of his family. His five older brothers are all very good at school and that is not always easy for him. Hermione is the same age as Harry and Ron. She is the only witch in her family. She is very bright, the best in her class. In the beginning, she is a show-off, but that changes in the story. Eventually it turns out to be very handy that she is so smart.

All these things make a funny and exciting story with a surprising end. It is really worth reading for all those interested in magic or likes a good detective story. Pay attention to all the names - they're really funny. I won't tell you much more, you're going to have to read it yourself. It's really worth it and very believable, but of course, not to take too seriously. It's a book for all ages and the whole family can enjoy it. So, I'd say "Give it a try. Just go and read it".
