Review:
Incarnations of Immortality is a series that deals with various characters that, through certain chains of events, become temporary immortals. Each book in the series of 7 books deal with a different aspect and are all interlinked to make a larger story.
Book 6 of the series by Piers Anthony deals with Satan and how he became the master of Hell. It is early in the 11th century, and starts with a young man named Parry who is the adopted son and apprentice to the local sorcerer in a village in France and his encounter with a village girl who becomes his wife. After she is killed by a French soldier, he realises that the true evil was brought upon him by Lucifer and vows to get his revenge for the death of his wife. he thenbecomes a friar in the service of the church and and tries to fight Lucifer with everything he knows and becomes a real pain in the tail for Lucifer! Later he is corrupted by a demoness sent by Lucifer and becomes a tool for the very thing he hated, and corrupts the Inquisition, making it a powerful tool for evil. The book is a very worthwhile read, and has humour as well as a good adventure into the realm of spirituality. No matter what your religion, you could not be offended by this book. Piers Anthony is a respected writer in fiction, and is an imaginative authour. I heartily recomend his books. If you enjoy good fantasy, get his complete 7 book series. It really is worth it!
