Area 51: The Truth! Well, we finally get all the answers.

Mualama and Che Lu are dead, Kelly Reynolds isn't. Mike Turcotte survived Mt. Everest and Yakov pulled off his rescue of the Ark. Aspasia's Shadow doesn't get what he wants, and Artad's Shadow certainly gets what he deserves.

We finally find out who Lisa Duncan really is and how all the legends and relics tie into the Arlia/Atlantis storyline. And we find out what the Swarm really wants, what is being built on Mars and how the war is won.

There isn't as much back-storying in this one as in the past 6 books - it seems the author has decided that we know as much as we need to in order to figure out who the bad and good guys are. I do give Doherty credit for spinning one heck of a story that takes place over what seems just a few weeks/months although it took him 7 years to write.

He gave life and humanity to his characters, and even the bad guys had a redeeming quality or 2, depending on your point of view (thank you Obi Wan Kenobi). All in all, the ending was very satisfying and Earth is saved. Of course, the author does leave room for more paralell stories to compliment the series and we'll have to see how they stack up against these seven books. If this author can crank out a book a year, we should get more good stuff from him very soon!
