Synopsis: Fear is #7 in the X Files Teen Series. Ed Funsch is fired from his job at the Postal Service in Franklin, Pennsylvania. It’s not that he loves his work, but it enables him to pay eat. He is fifty-two years old, and seeing strange texts at digital screens. He needs to find a new job if he doesn’t want to live on the streets. Review: Mulder has come to Franklin, a once so peacefull village, because the local authorities have asked for help with the murder investigation of twenty-five people. Normal people started to kill people around them for what seems no reason. Mulder feels right at home, a case with no reason, sounds like a case for Mulder. It does trouble Mulder that he can’t find any kind of sign that these cases have anything in common. He also didn’t find any kind of prove that aliens have a part in all of this. While Mulder and Sheriff Spencer try to find out what happened, another murder is taking place. Bonnie McRoberts is checking if her car is repaired. She expects the mechanic to throw all kinds of technical things at her, and ask for more money that they had agreed on. She steps in the garage, and the mechanic steps into his role. Additional complications have been found and he explains it to her with the help of a digital device which shows him that the car isn’t working as it should. While Bonnie sees total different information on the display, she is told to kill the mechanic. Scully gets a change at an autopsy on a few bodies of the killers and finds a chemical compound that she can’t place. She also finds out that the body has been producing a lot of adrenaline. About 200% of what she could have expected. This is a novel based on the television series The X-Files created by Chris Carter. Based on the teleplay written by Glen Morgan and James Wong. An easy to read book, which is missing nothing from the X-files episodes I’m used to seeing on TV. I don’t recall this episode and it might have had a different name, once more has the truth been put in plain view by Mulder. Well, as far as he is able to put the pieces of this jigsaw case puzzle together.
