Matt and Harris are young staffers in Washington DC playing The Zero Game. What they don't know is going to get someone killed! Unfortunately, there is more to this game than either realize and when one of them is murdered for apparently no reason, the other goes on the run looking for answers. His only ally is a seventeen year old black, tall, Senate page who just happens to be a girl. Viv is a hoot! one of the best characters I have ever read and would love to follow her career in another book or 3. The journey takes them from DC to South Dakota, across roofs, down into a mine and thru the basements of the Capital buildings.

Through it all, they are chased by Janos, who works for the mastermind, the dungeon master of the game. This one has pleanty of twists and turns, good and bad guys, guys you can't figure out, and a darn good ending. I stayed up till 3am to finish it. Definitely a Sleepless Night book - I think it's time to read the other 4 he has written.
