Review: Angel think of his days in Sunnydale, his days with Buffy the vampire slayer. His days of a creature of the night. His sire and his old 'friends' Spike, Drusilla and Darla. Then this guy shows up. He tells him that he has a message for him, not knowing who gave it to him. He is just the messenger. His name is Doyle, a half demon, he tells Angel that a young girl is in trouble. And he is the one who has to safe her. He only has a name and a place. But Angel sets off to find her. And find out what is going on. Is he the one who should clear out all evil in LA?
Off to find this girl Tina. A girl who want to be a Hollywood star. But who doesn't want that. She is in trouble. Some guy is searching for her. She owns him money. Angel wants to protect her and hangs out with her for a while. He even sees Cordelia, a Sunnydale girl on a party. When they leave that party Tina is kidnapped. Will Angel be there in time to save her. Is he strong enough?
Will he ever be able to leave his past behind.
A good book, shows us all the sides of Angel. And for you who have seen episodes from Buffy: the Vampire Slayer or Angel, you know what memories he has. This is the beginning of a new life. Old friends, new friends and new enemies. Doyle a new friend, the Irish demon with his own problems. But a good guy. Cordelia, this girl who grew up like being so rich, till the government took the house and all the other stuff away because her parents never paid their taxes, but trying to make a living now. And then Angel, who misses his old girlfriend. And all those really nice evil demons of all sorts and sizes. There is little which can be foreseen in such an environment.
Well good will prevail. We hope...
