After traveling for six months at incredible warp speeds, the colonists and their escort, the USS Enterprise, have arrived at their destination: Belle Terre, a lust planet with a climate very similar to Earth.

Just as Captain James T. Kirk begins to relax and take his mind off the difficult journey Mr. Spock calls down with the bad news. As he looks around at the people he risked his life to bring to Eden, he has to make the ultimate decision: Try to stop the Quake Moon from exploding and save Belle Terre, or get everyone back in the malfunctioning colony ships and high-tail it back to Federation Space.

As it sits in orbit around the Federation Colony, Belle Terre's moon shakes, and the pressure inside builds into a crescendo of burning flame, but the ever-logical Vulcan, Mister Spock encounters something rare, and extraordinary. Kirk and crew are forced into a battle of the most devastating kind; a battle which could mean the death of over 60,000 men, women, and children.

"Belle Terre" is a good book, and an exciting continuation of the New Earth series. Full of surprises and action, this book is a good read for any Star Trek fan, and it gets 5 pips!
