But the Kauld, a race of aliens hell-bent on claiming the riches of the Federation Colony for themselves are persistent, and the next challenge the Enterprise faces could be the one that kills all of them.
Several light years out from the Federation Colony of Belle Terre, a large comet floats in space oblivious to the problems in the universe; oblivious to the wars that have raged throughout time, but now it will be turned into a weapon of such immense strength that none have ever imagined.
Destruction looms on the horizon, and the colonists are falling prey to the depths of despair and pain. Can they survive another attack? How much more suffering can they endure?
Pay attention to the entire book, as many things are changing, and you never know what will happen next as the Enterprise launches into a battle that may just be their last. Book IV is a good continuation to the New Earth saga, and a great read for any fan. 5 Pips.
