If you are a Star Trek fan but just can't get into reading long novels and books, this might well be just for you. It just has snippets of stories, from the author's favorite bits, from most of the Star Trek books ever written. These bits and pieces cover the Original Series, as well as DS9, TNG abd Voyager. So you can read the little bits you want, although they may make you want to go out and buy the whole book just to find out what is going on. And that can't be a bad thing.

Though I have read alot of Star Trek books, there are also alot I haven't and I found this useful just to get info on what the stories are about for future reference. Just in case I do want to read the whole novel for myself at some time. The little bits that are in this book are all interesting reading, exploring the depths of the characters of Star Trek that television can't.

There are alot of stories to cover, and the author gives a short summary of her personal opinion of the stories, what she found interesting about them. This makes you want to read them to find out if you agree with her.

Even reading some of these snippets from the novels moved me and I could relate to them, so most of them she chose well. I give this book 4 pips.
