Review: Leia Organa Solo is now the President of The New Republic. Together with her brother, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, and her husband Han Solo she now has to fight the remaining warlords left over after the fall of the Empire.

Han and Luke leave for Tatooine for more informaton from Jabba's deserted Palace but they do not like what they find there. When they return to Coruscant, they find out that the Hutts are building another version of the Death Star, called Darksaber. Meanwhile, Leia is visited by Durga the Hutt, the successor of Jabba and new leader of the Hutt criminal syndicates. Durga wants to work together with the New Republic and removes the bounty on Han Solo as a sign of good will. With the information Leia, Luke and Han have gathered, they make plans to find the weapon and destroy it.

Meanwhile, Admiral Daala is making an effort to get the last of the Empire's warlords together in a distant part of the galaxy. With only one purpose - to cause as much damage to the New Republic as possible.

Luke Skywalker and his great love Callista are searching for a way to get Callista's Force powers back. Callista is a Jedi from a time long before Luke Skywalker was even born. For years, she had been trapped in a computer in one of the Emperors greatest weapons. During a mind-to-body transfer with one of Luke's former students, she lost her ability to use the Force, but her life was saved. Now, she and Luke are trying everything they can to get her abilities back so they can be together and teach new Jedi Knights.

This story is sometimes hard to follow because several events happen at the same time in different places. It gives us information about how the first Death Star was made and what happened when things during construction go wrong. Also, we see an old enemy of Luke's return on the icey planet Hoth. I like the way these things return in the book, from the movies. I also like the fights, they are very well described. The book is full of action and problems. The story also shows us how hard it can be for two lovers to be together and to respect each others needs.
