Old Friends: Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Leia Organa Solo, Chewbaca, Lando Calrissian, Emperor Palpatine, Wedge Antilles, R2-D2, C-3PO, Boba Fett, Vima-Da-Boda, Shug Ninx, Mako Spince, Salla Zend, Bodo Baas, Ood Bnar Synopsis: In Dark Empire I, Luke almost turned fully to the Dark side, but he was saved by his sister Leia. They killed the Emperor and blew up his gigantic Star Destroyer, the "Eclipse". After that, Luke met a Dark Jedi called Kam Solusar in the space city Nespis VIII. Luke managed to turn Solusar to the light side of the force and Solusar joined Luke on his adventures. Review: Long before the Emperor was killed over Da Soocha V, he initiated a plan, led by Dark Side Executor Sedriss, called "Operation Shadow Hand" to reclaim the Galaxy for the Empire. Luke and Kam Solusar arrives at Da Soocha V, where they are briefed about the planet Balmorra's intent to suppply the Rebels with their new super weapons, the S-1 Viper Automaton. The rebels plan to put soldiers in the S-1's and let the Empire take them to Byss, the new capital of the Empire. Meanwhile, on Byss, Executor Sedriss discovers two of the Emperor's closest friends at work destroying his clone bodies. Just when he's finished killing them, the Emperor, in a new clone body, walks into the room. He orders Sedriss to capture Leia before she gives birth to her third child. Unaware of the Emperor's resurection, Han and Leia, on their way to New Alderaan where their two children are being taken care of by Leia's lifetime friend Winter, travel to Nar Shaddaa to find Vima-Da-Boda before she dies. When they arrive, they are attacked by Bounty hunters. Among them are Boba Fett. Luke and Kam Solusar arrive on the planet Ossus, a planet they learned about from a Holocron captured from Emperor Palpatine. Ossus was a center of Jedi learning thousands of years earlier. On the surface Luke and Kam finds two youths tied to a old tree. Their names are Rayf and Jem Ysanna, part of the Ysanna tribe who lives on the planet. The Ysanna are decendants of the Jedi who lived on the planet earlier, and they use the Force to attack Luke and Solusar, but they are not nearly well enough trained to hurt two fully trained Jedi. As the Ysanna begin to understand that Luke and Kam are Jedi, another ship arrives. Out comes a group of Stormtroopers empowered by the Dark Side. The two Jedi Knights and the Ysanna kill's the Stormtroopers. But out of the ship comes Dark Side Executor Sedriss, and his Dark Jedi aide Mordi. They fight and Sedriss takes Jem Ysanna hostage. This comic is better than Dark Empire I. It's more action and it's better written. But it has the same ugly drawings that DEI had, and because of this, I give it a 4.
