It was also written to teach the reader about other lesser known weapons. This Guide also includes information on customized weaponry like Exar Kun's lightsaber. Included here are details on other technology as well, like the Mon Calamari organic gill and Wookiee Ryyk Blades. Review: Ever wonder what comlink Dash Rendar used, or who made it and where? Or what a Slugthrower was? All these questions and more are answered in this excellent reference book. With awesome graphics and diagrams that are clearly labeled, it is perfect for someone who likes to look at the pictures. The author has placed everything in categories: Ranged Weapons; Melee Weapons; Starship & Planetary Weapons; Defense, Sensors & Communications; Security Devices and General Equipment. Easy to find your way around the book and easy to read. This Essential Guide is one of my favorites. It gives enough details without rambling on and on. The only thing missing is information from Episode 1 and the New Jedi Order novel series. Maybe they will update/republish later - that would make the book stellar.
