Synopsis: This is the 6th book in the X-Wing series. It takes place right after Wraith Squadron. The hunt for Zsinj is still on though.....

Review: Wraith Squadron has been successful in its first mission with the odds stacked high against them. Now the squad has another mission; to thwart Warlord Zsinj and his super-star destroyer, The Iron Fist.

To accomplish this, the Wraiths will present themselves to Warlord Zsinj as a group of blood-thirsty pirates who want to join Zsinj in his battle against the Rebellion. The name of the alias pirate group is the Hawk Bats. The Wraiths will engage Zsinj's forces in an attempt to impress Zsinj. This attempt works, and Zsinj invites the Hawk Bats to speak with him personally on The Iron Fist to talk about joining the fight against the Rebellion.

With the odds for success already next to impossible, and the dangers of being discovered as Zsinj's enemies, the Wraiths must attempt a suicide mission for the war lord. Will the Wraiths thwart Zsinj, or will they be destroyed in the process? Find out by reading this book!

I gave this book a rating of 4 because it did have some dull parts, but not many. Overall, I liked the book. It had some humor in it that I really liked. And I always like exciting space battles.

New Wraith Squadron Members:

Castin Donn: Castin goes by the designation Wraith Two. He is from Coruscant and is the Squadron's computer specialist.

Dia Passik: Dia is designated Wraith Four. She is a Twi'lek from Ryloth. She has experience in a variety of Republic and Imperial vehicles and space vessels. She knows a bit about criminal organizations, smuggling, the slave trade and mercenary operations.

Shalla Nelprin: Shalla is Wraith Ten. She comes from the planet Ingo. She is the squadron's unarmed combat trainer.

Lara Notsil: Lara is Wraith Thirteen. She is from Aldivy. Lara is Gara Petothel's alias. But she is confused as to who her real identity is. She originally came to the Wraiths as that alias to gain information for Zsinj.

Tonon: is Lara Notsil's R2 unit.

Iron Fist

A POV Review

Review by: Trivia Master Zulin Jinn

Synopsis: The Night Caller mission was a success. Zsinj Has lost another Star Destroyer and a Valuable Admiral, Apwar Trigit. Wraith Squadron is spear heading the attack on Zsinj, again.

Review: The wraiths have successfuly taken down Admiral Trigit. Myn Donos has had his revenge. High Command has handed them down an Order to go under cover as a deadly TIE flying pirate group, the Hawkbats.

Imperial Lt. Gara Petothel has assumed a new Identity, Lara Notsil. Lara is a Aldivian Farm girl that was killed when Admiral Trigit bombarded New Oldtown. Gara Petothel sliced some files to make it look like Lara was captured and taken by Trigit to be his unwilly mistress. Lara is Wraith Thirteen. Her plans go from spying for Zsinj to leading an Honorable life with Wraith Squadron when Zsinj decides that she will spy for him now matter what.

The Hawkbats start preying on the Zsinj controlled planet, Halmad. First the Hawkbats stole thier TIEs from Halmad, then continued preying on Halmad to get Zsinj's attention. As usual it worked. Zsinj arranged a meeting with the Hawkbat leader, General Kargin. Kargin is really Face Loran in disguise.

Zsinj then reveals that he is planning on stealing a new Super Star Destroyer, the Razor's Kiss. The Hawkbats were to be part of the Fighter screen for Razor's Kiss and Iron Fist while the crime takes place, Wraith Squadron had other plans.

I really didn't like the story line of this book. I think personaly the author could have come up with a better way for the New Repulbic to spear head Zsinj. This book didn't keep the pages turning for me like other books in the series did. I kinda could anticipate what was going to happen and that made it kinda a game. Would I guess right or wrong? Mostly I was right. To me the book was boring until the last one hundred pages.

I couldn't justify giving this book a 1 because I really did like the last 100 pages. But I also couldn't give it a 4 or 5 because everything but the last 100 pages was predictable. So I give this book a 2.
