Synopsis:

This book contains just about anything and everything you want to know about the movies but if you want to beat CT at Trivia, this is not the answer!

Review: The first thing to remember before you pick up this book is that it ONLY contains information about the movies "A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi". Fortunately, the authors have included the Special Edition releases as well, so the information is really up to date.

The book is divided up into categories that make perfect sense. Star Power covers spacecraft, speeders and everything in between; Star Tech is all about the technology that makes everything work. There are sections devoted to each individual character: From Farmboy to Jedi Knight: Luke Skywalker, The Wan and Obi: Ben Kenobi, Smuggler's Blues: Han Solo, etc. (the chapter titles are clever!)

We get info on the Droids, the Ewoks, Bounty Hunters and the Rebels. Alien Faces and Places covers where we went and who we met. And Star Warfare gives us the inside info on the weapons used.

Once you get all that, move on to the really good stuff. The Nitpicker's Guide points out the bloopers and oopsies, Behind the Scenes takes us into the production process, the how and why they did what they did. And I really liked the Rebel Rumblings & Imperial Transmissions section - Fill in the blanks on the best dialogue/quotes!

The scoring takes a little getting used to,and the key at the back is a bit difficult to keep track of. The scope of the project is big! 1300 questions and answers. There is a scoring system, and a place to add up your totals. And "special" questions, called Jedi Master Bonus Questions in each section that really make you think. This is a good investment for the real fan that wants to know more that just the stuff in the Encyclopedias and the Essential Guides. Gave it a 4 rating only because of the scoring, otherwise, it is definitely a keeper!
