Set shortly after the Battle of the Katanna Fleet, the lines are now drawn on who is siding with who. Review: This fast paced third book of the Trilogy is breathtaking. Now that all the characters are firmly established and the plot is set, the writer sets his focus on the Rebel Alliance having to deal with the Empire one more time, and the Empire is certainly getting the best of it. Thrawn is confident that his plan to crush the Alliance will go without a hitch, and he calculates his every move very carefully. Coruscant is under seige, the Rebels are undermanned and overtaxed whilst the Empire has all the reinforcements its needs from clones! The "only hope" for the Alliance is a daring plan to destroy the cloning facilities, with the help of smugglers Karrde and Jade. Meanwhile, Grand Admiral Thrawn discovers that he has underestimated the power of the the Jedi Jorus C'Boath. He is determined not only to rule planets, but the minds of the people as well. But first, he needs Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa Solo and her unborn twins to help him accomplish his goals. He is determined that no one will stand in his way, especially Thrawn. Their uneasy alliance is fast dissolving as they have outdone their usefullness to each other. The final battle is set on Wayland, where Luke once more faces his past and the Dark Side of the Force. But this time, he has the unexpected help of Mara Jade who realizes, finally, that she was nothing more than a pawn in the dead Emperor's hands. The author keeps you in his grip from first page to last, trying to find out what will happen next to who, and more than a few surprises up his sleeve along the way. The final outcome is very satisfying, an enjoyable read and a great Star Wars adventure.

Synopsis: The final book of the Thrawn Trillogy has a plot that just EXPLODES. Reading the book all the way through is a blast, I just could not put this book down! It's action packed all the way through. If you like action stories, this is the book for you! Review: More attacks by Grand Admiral Thrawn have damaged the New Republic. What was worse has been made much more worse: Grand Admiral Thrawn has discovered cloning chambers on one of the Emperor's storage spaces. Their fleet has the capibility to double-even triple-in size. Leia is about to give birth to her force sensitive Jedi twins. The New Republic has no choice now-they MUST strike against the Empire. Luke Skywalker, along with a task force, are sent to the stronghold in which the cloning chambers are located to halt the flow of cloned soldiers. But that is not all. Luke must face C'Boath, in a final battle. And C'Boath has plans to destroy him. EXCELLENT book. I guarantee it will keep you on your toes all the way through, with a bunch of near-miss situations. Gave me my dose of adredaline for the evening. I didn't put the book down until I was either forced to or was finished. The adventure is enjoyable by everyone. Well, what are you waiting for?
