Old Friends: Zekk, Luke Skywalker, Jacen Solo, Tenel Ka, Jaina Solo, Lowbacca, Em Teedee, Kyp Durron, Streen, Han Solo, Anakin Solo, Chewbacca, R2D2, Lusa Synopsis: This book is the beginning of a trilogy of books within the Young Jedi Knights Series, and it starts rather interesting-revealing a shocking piece of Han Solo's history. Review: The Diversity Alliance and the Emperor's Plague have both been thwarted. The Young Jedi Knights are training at the Jedi Academy once again, and Han Solo decides to pay Jacen and Jaina a visit - and take them on a vacation. A vacation to go to the grand Derby Races on Ord Mantell. The race is the most daring one a pilot can enter, and it is an honor simply to compete in this race. The Millenium Falcon has won the derby three times already. Han Solo was requested by the derby runners that he be their Grand Marshall. But the Derby turns to disaster and allmost tragedy when space mines are discovered in the course. Then, the young Jedi Knights encounter a woman in her mid twenties, weilding a lightsaber. Her name is Anja Gallandro, and when she meets up with Han Solo, the situation becomes very ugly. She haunts Han with the truth of the past. Han had killed her father, so long ago. Her home planet, Anobis, has been raging in war for years and has been ignored by the New Republic peacekeeping forces. So they decide to check out the planet and help. Little do they know what is in store for them as soon as they arrive on the planet... Bravo! This is another book, and storyline, well written. I enjoyed it, because it was something new, with an unnoticed, war-torn planet. I look foreward to seeing what the next book delivers.
