Synopsis: Shmi Skywalker misses her sun, who is on a distant world Learning how to become a Jedi and Testing the tolerance levels of his Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Senator Amidala has arrived on Coruscant for an important vote in the Senate. Should the Republic raise an army or keep the fragile peace they have.

Review:Senator Amidala has just arrived on Coruscant when her ship is blown up. Cordé, her stand in dies. Now she is determined to vote no to raising an army. But the vote is postponed. Amidala isn´t safe and is put in the protection of the Jedi - a few familiar faces, Master Obi-Wan and his apprentice Anakin. They manage to interfere on the second assassination attempt and follow the assassin to find out who it is who wants Senator Amidala killed.

Meanwhile, on Tatooine, Shmi Skywalker has been set free and has married Cliegg Lars. She misses her son Anakin, but live goes on, on the moisturefarm. The Tuskan Raiders are getting close - a little to close. Shmi goes out to pick the mushrooms from the vaporizers, in the early sunlight and is captured by the Tuskans. 30 Men set out to free her, but only 4 return.

Back on Coruscant, Obi-Wan sets of to find more information about the assassins and who they might be working for. His search leads him to Kamino, an ocean planet where cloners live. His apprentice is given the assignment to protect Senator Amidala. They decide that it would be safer for them to go to Naboo then to stay on Coruscant. Anakin wants to go after all the leads they have so far on the assassin. He still has strong feelings for Padmé and doesn't think that he is of a big help protecting her like this. He also has nightmares about his mother, who is in great pain. But Obi-wan tells him that even Jedi dream. Not everything is a vision, some are normal dreams or nightmares.

A good book, better then the movie. But as one has seen the movie, it is so easy to follow the book. To know more about Padmé's family, her parents and sister. To know what her life could have been, when she didn't become a senator after being queen. How hard it all is for Anakin, and Obi-Wan. Even to know that the Jedi Council is feeling a threat, but not even the strongest among them, Master Yoda, can see what it is.

Yes I say it is a good book. Missing something? Well you could always add more info I guess. But that would make it a huge book, not easily readable and a too long story. And before you know it you will have another trilogy. It is a good book. You start reading and before you know it you are finished. It just makes you wonder what happens right after this great story. Don't worry there will always be books.
