Old Friends: Anakin Solo, C-3P0, Droma, Han Solo, Jacen Solo, Jaina Solo, Leia Organa Solo, Luke Skywalker, Mara Jade Skywlaker, Mezza, R2-D2, Randa Basdii Doiri, Nom Anor, Romany Synopsis: The War is at it's most intense time, Beautiful planets such as Ithor, Dantooine, and Obra Skai have fallen to the ruthless invaders. Now Warmaster TsaVong Lah enters the galaxy planning to prey on the planet Duros, a haven for refugees. Can the likes of all the Solos and Luke and Mara Skaywalker fend off the attack or will another planet fall to the Yuuzhan Vong? Review: Balance Point starts with the Fall of Hosk Station, Rogue Squadron trying to cover the evacuation. Jaina Solo goes Extra Vehicular and is exposed to radiation that takes away her sight temporarily. The New Republic Military is overwhelmed with casualties and sends Jaina to her Father on Duros for care. Han and Jacen are running a refugee dome on duros, Dome 32. Jaina arrives and helps them with their task of keeping thousands of refugees happy. Little did the Solo's know that Leia was in another dome. Back on Coruscant, Councilor Viqi Shesh is making an alliance with the Yuuzhan Vong, a treasonous alliance that only she will benefit from. Councilor Shesh uses her position in the Council to cut off supplies to the Duro Refugees, weakening them so the Yuuzhan Vong can invade. Anakin Solo, Mara Jade Skywalker, and Luke Skywalker arrived on Duros disguised as a Kubaz Family. They were trying to get to the bottom of the supply shortage to the Domes on the Surface. When Dome 32 is infested with a strange bug that brings it down, Han, Jacen, and Jaina get the refugees into crawlers and take them to the Gateway Dome, where they are shaved for quarantine reasons and there they find Leia, running the Dome. Mara comes down to the dome to pay Leia and Jaina a visit, but her visit goes bad. The Doctor working in the Gateway dome to restore the outside environment is really Nom Anor. Nom Anor traps Mara and Jaina in a collapsed rock tunnel and escapes. The stage is set and if I go any further with this you won't have to read the book, so I will stop here. This is a Very good book, boring for the first 200 pages but makes up for it in the end. I give this book a 4 because it isn't great but not horrible, I really think that Balance Point is a good book and I hope you enjoy it.
