The Jedi are trying to reestablish a Jedi Council but the future of the Jedi does not seem to be very promising. Most of the politician’s are against the Jedi, against the power they have and the favors they get. Review: Luke Skywalker is finding out what the candidates for Chief of State want to do with the Jedi once they win the election. There will be about three individuals who have a decent chance of winning. One of them, Cal Omas would help Luke with a new Jedi Council. One made up of Jedi and members of other governmental councils. He let’s Mara do all the public sporting. Mara also is working together with the Nylykerka for intelligence. They are using new models of Lando Calrissian and Talon Karrde’s druids to find more Yuuzan Vong who have infiltrated the New Republic. Jaina has been training with her Squadron, which contains only a few pilots who have been in a fight. Her rookies will die if they do not get some experience, so she sets up a training schedule with other squadrons to teach the rookies the new moves for battle. Then Ackbar comes up with a plan: attack the enemy where you know they are vulnerable, and where you get a good chance to get away alive. This way the rookies will get some real experience, and the New Republic will get a better battle force. He thinks it will take about three months till they get the experience, and then they can make a major attack on the Yuuzan Vong. They still have some tactical tricks up their sleeves, but how long will it take the Yuuzan Vong Shapers to overcome those. Jacen, Kyp, Lowbacca and some other Jedi are working together with the New Republic forces. The Jedi use their Force mind melt in battle, with Jacen on the watch out they can be more efficient. Jacen keeps an eye on all the vessels in the battle and Jacen tells them where to go and when to be there. It works and Admiral Kre’fey would like to see more Jedi on different groups during a battle. The book contains one major space battle with plenty of ships, characters and maneuvers in it, a battle where the Jedi will play bait. The Jedi get their New Jedi Council and also a new government to work with. The time has come for Padawans to move to Knights of the Force. There will also be new things to learn about the Force from Vergere, a Jedi from the Old Republic. The New Jedi Order books have come at a point where a lot happens, where there are a lot of characters and where you got to concentrate a little harder to follow it all. There are things happening all the time, and other a lot of other things being worked on. A Great book if you ask me, it has everything in it. A great story and finally some hope for the New Republic.
