Old Friends: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Tahl, Siri, Adi Gallia Synopsis: They've finally figured out who's behind the bounty on Didi's head. The only problem is that same person has Qui-Gon. Obi-Wan must desperately search for his Master with the help of Astri. Together they must track down the bounty hunter, save Qui-Gon and find the antitoxin to save Didi's life before it's too late. Review: Left off from Jedi Apprentice #11: The Deadly Hunter, Jedi Apprentice #12: The Evil Experiment continues the story of mystery and intrique. They've finally figured out who had a bounty on Didi's head, the only problem is that same person has Qui-Gon held hostage. The book leads us on a journey in search of Qui-Gon and an antitoxin for Didi. Astri and Obi-Wan lead us to many different planets, meeting new people, in attempts to save those they care for. We meet Cholly, Whiz, and Tub (Who remind me of the the Three Stooges) -three lowlife cheats and thieves- who help in the attempts to save Qui-Gon. Although, they're only in it for the antitoxins in hopes for selling them to other worlds and gaining credits. Yet, with the help of Cholly, Whiz, and Tub, Obi-Wan and Astri hunt down the secret lab where Qui-Gon's being held against his will and secret experiments are being conducted on the Force. Although "The Evil Experiment" was a good read, filled with some action, deciet and mystery, I think it was only worth 4 out of 5 stars. Plus, we have to wait for the next book in order to finish the story and bring an end to the evil scientist and the deadly bounty hunter.
