Synopsis: The Planetary Games are bound to happen and the Jedi have been asked to maintain peace at those games. Three Jedi teams have been sent, time for old friends to see each other and spend some time, even when it is on a Jedi mission. Anakin first thinks it is just another mission, till they find out that there will also a podrace taking place during the games.

Review: Anakin's lesson for this mission will be his sensitivity to the Life Force. He would like to spend some time with his friend Tru, but he forgets everything when he hears about the podracing. They are illegal and dangerous, and he will be visiting them, with or without his Master’s approval. He meets with Doby and Deland who have placed a bet: they win the races - then Sebulba will set their sister free of slavery. Anakin wants to help them beat his old enemy, who know owns his old podracer.

Obi-Wan also meets up with old friends: friends who are always followed by trouble. He is asked to help, which he doesn’t really want to do, when Didi places a bet with his sister’s money. He later finds out that receive such a good tip as he thought. But while helping his friends he finds out that the games are being messed up. One of the officials has been bribed and tips on betting lead him to an even bigger plan. You have a story about sports, famous people, an evil plans, another great mixture for a SW adventure. Anakin is back in a podracer, Obi-wan is helping friends who he got to know while he was Qui-Gon’s Padawan. And things turn out to be one big mess, but they are Jedi, and will solve it. The book shows a nice period in Anakin’s Padawan training, and even refers to the bigger world outside and the Galactic Senate. It connects every where, and fits just nicely in the time line. In short: another one of Anakin’s adventures.
