Old Friends: Lord Sidious, Rune Dofine, Nute Gunray Synopsis: Lord Darth Maul writes this journal in hope that it will be put in the Sith archives. He writes about his early training, his relationship with his master, what he thinks of it all. Learn more about the Sith, the way they train, the way they are. What makes them. How they think. What is takes to become a sith, what it takes to survive. And that just carying out orders isnīt always that what your superior wants from you. Review: Lord Sidious has called Darth Maul to Coruscant. There he will learn about his masters plans. Plans which are not entierly clear to him. But they donīt have to be. He is the apprentice, he will do what ever his master asks from him. Lord Sidious lets the Trade Federation work on the his plan, concerning a planet called Naboo. Everything is going well till the Jedi show up. Darth Maul is sent to make sure that the Jedi donīt interfere with Lord Sidious' plans. A great book. Interesting. I found there are the many things given to us about the way of the Sith; the teaching methods; the way an apprentice is taught to think; the way an apprentice is expected to act. All is there. But for most of us, it will not be enough. Now we want more. Why does a master pick a certain apprentice. A few questions are answered. But more question come up while reading this book. And as all, well most of us know..... Darth Maul dies. His journal is finished by Lord Sidious himself. He tells us how what he thinks of Darth Maul. What mistakes Maul has made, what changes he will be making in teaching his next apprentice. That is for sure. There will be a next Apprentice. For the Sith apprentices amongst us: learn for the mistakes of Maul. And remember the wise lessons which Lord Sidious gives us. For the Jedi Padawans amongst us: learn everything there is to know about your opponent. His moves, his training, his heritance, his way of life. And you may strike him down.
