Synopsis: The third piece of the Force Heretic puzzle puts everything in order. Zonama Sekot if found, Tahiri finds out who she is, The Ryn are back, and The Remnamt of the Empire, The Galactic Alliance and Chiss are all fighting together against the Vong. Nom Anor weaves his web on Coruscant and Shimrra descends deeper into madness. What a ride!

Review: Again, the reader is engrossed in separate storylines that all interconnect and converge with unexpected results. Han, Leia and their team are still on theirmission to repair the communications stations destroyed by the Vong. This takes them from a cheap bar on Onadax to Esfandia, where they join up with Pellaeon and assorted other friends to restore the base. Jag Fel has a great "surprise" during the battle that is pure SW! In the meantime, the reader finally gets into Tahiri's head with the help of Jaina and all is explained.

Meanwhile, after finally landing on Zonama Sekot, Luke, Mara and Jacen are in for quite a few surprises. Everything is not what they expected. The resident Ferroans are not welcoming at all, Sekot reveals itself in many forms and the questions of good and evil, the Dark and Light sides of the Force come into play; there is a kidnapping, a test, and a decision. Insight into Sekot, thru the appearance of a young Anakin Skywalker and Vergere adds to the confusion, but also helps both the adventurers and the reader through the back-story of the planet and its inhabitants.

Non Anor and his Shamed Ones are still trying to displace Shimrra, but the going is hard. Non is under great pressure from his followers to "do something" instead of just talking and preaching. Unfortunately, when he looses his best spy to Shimrra, he needs to take a good look at what he really wants. Scary, huh?

This final book is excellent! Sean and Shane have done an exceptional job bringing all the characters to life, keeping them completely in touch with the personalities that have been developed over all these years of books and movies. Their descriptions of alien planets, space battles, technology and everything that makes up the galaxy far, far away is a result of research, dedication to the genre', and attention to what they know the fans expect to make a great SW story. An excellent choice by the gang at DelRey and GL when they selected these guys to write Force Heretic.

I do hope they will have a chance to contribute again as the story moves forward and backwards thru time and space.
